Azur - Concept

Creature design concept art for a upcoming children's short film Lana's Drache.
Azur is a dragon, a manifestation of memory and fantasy that acompanies the protagonist through the bleak, forsaken world after all adults disapeared one day. The dragons hold the children's memories and thus in some way their souls and lifeforce, they feed on printed words, of meaning and story, so the protagonist has to search for unread books in order to survive.
